A special wine for a special cause

Lance Armstrong takes his love of wine very seriously. For years he has journeyed to Napa Valley not only to ride his bike along the twisting turns and rolling hills of the Silverado Trail, but also to take in the breathtaking wines crafted in this mecca of Cabernet Sauvignon.

This mutual love affair led to a chance encounter with Napa Icon Randy Lewis at the 2001 Tour de France. In the years since Randy and Lance have become fast friends, sharing an interest in both racing (with Lance on the bike and Randy in a Formula One) and also of fine wines. Their time together spurred a desire from Randy to give something back to the community of those stricken with one of the many forms of cancer, and thus the Cuvee 7 was born.

Named for Lance's historic seven wins at the Tour de France, the Cuvee 7 is a limited production ultra Cuvee that is sourced from the finest barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon hiding in the Lewis Cellar. Lance himself is instrumental in the selection of the final blend, and Randy uses his experience and expertise to put the finishing touches on what is a monumental wine.

Only 90 cases of this beauty are produced each year, and the wine comes in a stunning black piano case finish that is signed by both Lance and Randy. Each case holds three bottles of the Cuvee 7. As mentioned above all proceeds from the sale of this wine from Vanguard Wines and Lewis Cellars go directly to the Livestrong Foundation.

Vanguard Wines will receive only seven three packs, so as you can tell this will be a hard to get wine. But what better way to treat yourself to one of the finest wines that Napa has ever produced and also give to a worthy cause in the process!
