Nickelodeon’s “Naked Brothers Band” star Allie DiMeco

Allie DiMeco, star of the highest rated show for “tweens” in TV history, will be the featured special guest at the Columbus Parent Magazine EXPO. Starring as Rosalina in Nickelodeon’s “Naked Brothers Band,” DiMeco will appear on the Family Fun Stage at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. She’ll talk with kids and parents about what it’s like to appear on the wildly popular Nickelodeon offerings, the “Naked Brothers Band” movies and television series. Following both appearances, DiMeco will sign autographs for fans.

The Columbus Parent Magazine EXPO takes place at Water’s Edge Park at the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes free admission to the Zoo. (Zoo hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Allie DiMeco made her TV debut when she was just five years old on “Late Night with David Letterman.” She became friends with the Wolff brothers, and the Naked Brothers Band was born. The band now is the centerpiece of the “mocumentary” TV and feature film series that headlines Nickelodeon’s popular kids lineup. The offerings have garnered higher ratings among 9-13 year olds than any show in the history of television and the Naked Brothers Band message boards and website are among Nick.com's most visited. DiMeco plays the role of Rosalina, the only girl member of the band and Naked Brothers star Nat Wolff’s love interest. The talented DiMeco acts, dances, sings and plays instruments, including the bass guitar, cello, drums, flute, French horn and the violin. She enjoys writing, cheerleading, softball, gymnastics and playing with her dog, Chloe. DiMeco says she would one day like become a broadcast journalist.

The Columbus Parent Magazine EXPO is a fun, free, easy and convenient way for families to see, buy and learn all about the products and services needed for their children, from newborns to teens. Special guest appearances by local experts and celebrities, entertainment and contests will make the event a must-attend for any parents or parents-to-be.

Beginning April 19, Columbus Parent EXPO passes will be available, free of charge, at any of the Greater Columbus Donatos Pizza restaurants. EXPO passes include FREE admission to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. (Passes do not include rides, special zoo events or parking, which is $5 per car.) A complete event schedule and additional details are available at www.columbusparent.com.
