Morton's Moves To Fountain Square

Morton’s The Steakhouse, opens today in the Carew Tower in downtown Cincinnati, overlooking the recently renovated Fountain Square. The local restaurant is part of the Morton’s Restaurant Group (NYSE:MRT), which owns and operates the 74 Morton’s steakhouses throughout the United States, Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong.

“Cincinnati has improved on an already great city center with the renovation of Fountain Square, and Morton’s The Steakhouse is happy to take our place here, at the heart of the city,” said Morton’s General Manager, Tim Kieliszewski.

The approximately 9,200 square-foot restaurant is located on the second floor of the Carew Tower, at the corner of 5th and Vine Streets, giving guests unequalled views of the revitalized city core. New to the restaurant ?C is a glass-enclosed wine room. The room, which will be on display in the center of the restaurant, has the capacity to store over 1,200 bottles of wine.

The Carew Tower restaurant will also introduce Cincinnati to Morton’s Bar 12●21. With 30 seats for dining and large plasma television screens, it is designed for friendly meeting, greeting and eating. Morton’s Bar 12●21 has a rich décor and offers more than 50 martinis, the finest wines and spirits, domestic and imported beers, the best in cordials and coffee drinks. Bar 12●21 also features Morton’s popular Bar Bites menu, consisting of such items as Chicken Goujonettes, Filet Mignon Sandwiches and Morton’s Mini Prime Cheeseburgers.

“The arrival of Morton’s The Steakhouse in Carew Tower confirms that the renovation of Fountain Square is producing reinvestment in downtown,” said Bill Donabedian, managing director of Fountain Square. “Over the past few years, the face of Fountain Square and downtown Cincinnati as a whole has completely changed, thanks in no small part to new developments like Morton’s.”

Morton’s main dining room will seat approximately 125 guests and the luxuriously appointed private dining rooms, known as Boardrooms, can accommodate groups as small as 10 and as large as 100.

The Morton’s dining experience offers the finest in food and wine, seamless warm and friendly service and elegant décor. The restaurant boasts generous portions of classic, hearty American fare, serving generous portions of its specialty, USDA grain-fed Prime-aged beef (the finest available), fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees and spectacular desserts.

Morton’s The Steakhouse located at 441 Vine Street in Carew Tower at Fountain Square, is open daily for dinner from 5:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sundays.
