Las Vegas' Largest Rum Collection Now at Tommy Bahama at Town Square

Long known as the purveyor of some of the world’s best island libations and home to the concept of making life “One Long Weekend,” Tommy Bahama’s Restaurant & Bar at Town Square Las Vegas ups the ante with the addition of a new collection featuring more than 150 rums from around the world. Las Vegas’ largest rum collection debuts this November. The Tommy Bahama team scoured the globe from Nicaragua to Thailand to Brazil to Jamaica to Barbados to the United States, Trinidad and even the Netherlands. The result: an internationally inspired collection of rums that will make even the most avid collectors take notice.

“We found most people are out of touch with rum, yet rum is having a global renaissance,” notes Rob Goldberg, senior vice president, Tommy Bahama Restaurants. “Las Vegas is the right place to showcase the splendor of rum since this is the city where the world gathers. Rums are the product of craft and tradition. We are launching not only Las Vegas’ largest rum collection, but also numerous new specialty cocktails only found at the Tommy Bahama’s Restaurant & Bar in Las Vegas.”

Exclusive elixirs set to be served include:
Pyrat’s Sin: Pyrat Cask Rum (Anguilla), Grand Marnier, sugar cube soaked with bitters.
Premium Painkiller: Pussers 15 year (British Virgin Islands), pineapple juice, coconut syrup, orange juice and freshly grated nutmeg.
Authentic Royal Navy Grog: Navy rum (British West Indies), lime juice, brown or cane sugar, dash of bitters.
The Seersucker: Flor de Cana White rum (Nicaragua), cinnamon bark syrup, lemon juice, strawberry and crushed ice.
The French Connection: Rhum Babancourt reserve (Haiti), Grand Marnier, fresh lemon juice.

Serving island inspired, upscale American dishes, Chef Shane Quinlan is creating a special rum-pairing menu taking advantage of the vast new collection. “This is an amazing opportunity to showcase our menu in a new light,” explains Quinlan. “Our menu, like our restaurant, is meant to be enjoyed and savored without getting too serious or fussy. I’m excited to pair our existing dishes, as well as some new items, with this amazing new collection we have only here in Las Vegas. It really opens the door for those of us in the kitchen to create a great meal meant to be served with a cocktail.”
