The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Southwest Ohio will hold its 4th Annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction Saturday, August 28, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the historic Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, located at 35 West Fifth Street in downtown Cincinnati.

Take a chance with the Silent Auction for great items such as fine dining gift certificates, show tickets, trips, spa packages, gift baskets, and much more. Or try your hand at the numerous raffles for additional great prizes.

Tickets are $55/person or $480 for a reserved table of eight and are available through the Southwest Ohio CCFA at (513) 772-3550 or online at www.ccfa.org/chapters/swohio.

The Wine Tasting formerly called Wines & Chimes will benefit the CCFA Foundation, which is the primary funding source for medical research, patient education and awareness, patient support and legislative advocacy for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. CCFA-funded research has helped lead to the recent groundbreaking discoveries of genes and gene receptors associated with the diseases, yielding significant improvements in treatment options and deeper knowledge that can support future prevention.

Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis affects an estimated 1.4 million Americans. CCFA Southwest Ohio serves an estimated 58,000 Southwest Ohio patients who have these inflammatory bowel diseases.
The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America's (CCFA) mission is to cure and prevent Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis through research, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these digestive diseases through education and support. More than 80 cents of every dollar the Foundation spends goes to mission-critical programs. CCFA consistently meets the standards of organizations that monitor charities, including the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance (give.org) and the American Institute of Philanthropy (charitywatch.org).
