Qdoba Welcomes Summer with Chicken Mango Salad

Summer isn’t just about extra hours of sunshine and balmy temperatures. It is also the time of year when scores of delicious, healthy fruits are at their peak. That’s why for a limited time every summer, Qdoba makes it easy to explore the natural goodness of one exotic favorite in particular— mangos—with its Chicken Mango Salad.

I am writing to gauge your interest in sampling the Qdoba Chicken Mango Salad—made with an aromatic tropical salsa filled with mangos, fresh-cut cucumber and tomatoes, as well as hand-chopped cilantro—for a potential review in TASTE Magazine Cincinnati or a mention on the corresponding “The Things We Get” blog. The salad is topped with a tangy cilantro-lime vinaigrette dressing that is served over a bed of hand-shredded romaine lettuce and Qdoba’s signature adobo marinated chicken.

Adding mango to a salad does more than just evoke the flavors of summer. The mango fruit is naturally rich in:
Phenols—cancer-fighting antioxidant compounds
Iron—improves immunity, boosts energy and prevents/treats anemia
Vitamins A, E and Selenium—protects against heart disease
Vitamin C-- protection against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, prenatal health problems, eye disease and more

As with all of Qdoba’s menu items, diners can choose to customize the Chicken Mango Salad to fit their specific taste or diet preferences, such as ordering it naked (without the tortilla bowl) or asking for no sour cream—letting you enjoy a tantalizing lunch or dinner with 27 grams of protein and five grams of fiber for less than 400 calories. The Chicken Mango Salad can be ordered as part of Qdoba’s Craft 2™ menu, which invites guests to mix and match smaller portions of Qdoba’s most popular items including a Naked Burrito®, Naked Taco Salad™, Mexican Gumbo™, 3-cheese nachos, two tacos, quesadilla or tortilla soup Not in the mood for a salad? The mango salsa can also be added to any Qdoba dish.

The Qdoba Chicken Mango Salad is available nationwide for a limited time starting this Monday, June 7.
