Contestants will bring their favorite homemade chili to the event for a taste test, judged by the firefighters from the OTR Engine Co. 5. The firefighters will declare a Chili Meister ($100 prize), a Chili Monarch ($50) and a Master Chiliologist ($50). Each winner will also receive a prize basket from Gold Star Chili. Samples of the chili will be available for free to the public after the winners are announced (while supplies last).
The application is open through January 10 and can be found @ http://www.findlaymarket.org/news/enter-to-win-the-13th-annual-chili-cook-off.
Live music and a craft beer booth will kick off at 11am, with merchant specials all day. Following the competition, chili and chili-themed foods will be for sale in the heated tent.
