Pizzeria Locale opens Cincinnati location

Pizzeria Locale, a partnership between restaurateurs Bobby Stuckey and Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson and Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG), officially opens its sixth restaurant at 9540 Mason Montgomery Road. Pizzeria Locale’s fast-casual restaurants are based on Stuckey and Mackinnon-Patterson’s full-service pizzeria in Boulder, Colo., and incorporate the original’s commitment to the finest ingredients and service with a fast-casual, counter service model.

“We are proud to open a second location in Cincinnati and be part of the city’s thriving and dynamic restaurant community,” said Mackinnon-Patterson.

Pizzeria Locale serves pizza inspired by the streets of Southern Italy. Each pizza is made by hand with the highest-quality ingredients, including meat that is responsibly raised without hormones or antibiotics and rBST-free dairy, presented in an interactive service line. The menu includes Classic pizzas – mainstays like Pepperoni, Supreme, Margherita and Veggie – as well as Build Your Own pizzas, allowing guests to create their own combinations from a selection of high-quality ingredients, including chicken, Creminelli ham, pork sausage, mushrooms, smoked mozzarella, and many more. Pizzas are then baked for about three minutes in a custom-designed, high-temperature oven. The restaurant also serves hand-tossed salads and sides, including Pork Meatballs and freshly sliced Prosciutto from Iowa’s La Quercia, as well as Budino, a butterscotch pudding with chocolate and caramel topping.

The 66-seat Fields Ertel location will be the first Pizzeria Locale in the country to offer Rosato, or Rosé wine, in addition to the on-tap Red and White Wine that Stuckey custom blends. The Rosato is a food-friendly field blend from Tuscany with notes of watermelon and cherry. Additionally, the Fields Ertel location offers a special selection of local beers, including Great Lakes’ Dortmunder Lager, Moerlein Pilsner, Mt. Carmel’s Amber Ale, Psychopathy from Madtree, Jackie O’s Chomolungma and a seasonal brew from Rhinegeist. The menu also features a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including Alchemy Coffee from Lawrence, Kan., which created custom 8 oz. cold brew coffee bottles for Pizzeria Locale.

Pizzeria Locale’s contemporary interiors, produced in collaboration with Denver-based firm Semple Brown Design, features dark woods, white tiled floors and walls and marble accents on tables and the pizza-making station. Additional design highlights include photographs of Southern Italian street scenes and markets by Dave Woody, a Colorado-based photographer and longtime friend of Stuckey and Mackinnon-Patterson’s.

The original Pizzeria Locale in Boulder opened in 2011 and was created by Frasca Food and Wine founders Stuckey, a Master Sommelier, and executive chef Mackinnon-Patterson. The full-service restaurant is a contemporary pizzeria inspired by the traditional pizzerias of Naples, Italy. The fast-casual restaurants also draw from the same Southern Italian inspiration, as well as a commitment to premium ingredients.

Stuckey and Mackinnon-Patterson’s other ventures, Frasca Food and Wine and the original Pizzeria Locale in Boulder, Colo., are not part of this fast-casual partnership.

Pizzeria Locale is open seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., and is located at 9540 Mason Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45040. For more information, please call 513.339.0063 or visit www.pizzerialocale.com.
